Nurturing Future Nursing Leaders with Compassion, Scientific Thinking, and Global Awareness

Faculty of Health Sciences

At our university, we are dedicated to cultivating highly skilled nursing professionals who possess both scientific and creative thinking, a deep sense of humanity, and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Guided by the fundamental principle that nursing is centered around "people," our program places strong emphasis on communication skills as a cornerstone of compassionate care. Nurses must be able to understand and empathize with the pain, suffering, and emotional challenges faced by patients—whether they are physically or mentally ill, elderly, or living with disabilities. To ensure this, we focus on fostering self-awareness, ethical responsibility, and a strong sense of humanity, equipping students with the emotional intelligence needed to provide meaningful and effective patient care.

In addition, our curriculum is designed to instill strong problem-solving abilities grounded in scientific inquiry, evidence-based practice, and creative thinking. We encourage students to develop an inquisitive mindset that drives them to seek new solutions in the ever-evolving field of healthcare. Through rigorous academic and hands-on training, students will not only gain technical proficiency but also learn to adapt to diverse and complex medical situations, ensuring they can provide high-quality care across different healthcare settings.

Recognizing the growing importance of interprofessional collaboration, we prepare students to work seamlessly within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. By learning to coordinate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other medical professionals, our graduates will develop the teamwork and leadership skills essential for modern nursing practice.

Furthermore, taking advantage of our Faculty of International Studies, students will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate global healthcare challenges. By studying foreign languages such as English and Chinese, along with specialized courses in international nursing, they will develop the cultural competency needed to care for patients from diverse backgrounds and work in a wide range of international medical environments.

Through this comprehensive approach, we nurture highly competent, compassionate, and globally minded nurses who are not only prepared for the demands of modern healthcare but also committed to lifelong learning and professional growth.

Structured Learning Pathway for Professional Growth
Our program is carefully structured to ensure a progressive and well-rounded learning experience. Students follow a step-by-step pathway, gradually building their knowledge, skills, and confidence as they advance through their training.

1. Mastering the Fundamentals of Compassionate Nursing Care

In the early stages of the program, students will develop a strong foundation in nursing theory and practical skills. They will learn essential techniques such as patient assessment, communication strategies, and the fundamentals of medical procedures. Through hands-on exercises and simulated patient interactions, they will also gain a deeper understanding of the psychological and emotional needs of patients, fostering the empathy and resilience required for a career in nursing.

2. Specializing in Patient-Centered Nursing Across Life Stages
As students progress, they will explore specialized areas of nursing, including maternal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric care. They will learn how to adapt their nursing approaches based on the specific needs of each patient, ensuring a personalized and holistic approach to healthcare. This stage also introduces students to community and home-based nursing, expanding their ability to provide care beyond hospital settings.

3. Developing Advanced Nursing Skills for Complex Medical Situations
In this phase, students will train in real-world healthcare environments, working with patients in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. They will learn to navigate challenging medical cases, integrating knowledge of disease progression, emergency care, and chronic illness management. Through case studies and collaborative projects, they will refine their critical thinking and decision-making skills, preparing them to handle high-pressure medical situations with confidence

4. Expanding Nursing Expertise with a Global and Community Perspective
In the final stage of the program, students will cultivate a broad, global perspective on healthcare. They will learn to assess health issues within diverse cultural and socioeconomic contexts, gaining the ability to identify and address healthcare disparities. This stage emphasizes global health trends, disaster response nursing, and international medical collaboration, equipping students with the expertise to work in a variety of healthcare settings worldwide

By the time students complete this structured learning journey, they will be fully equipped with the skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to excel as modern nursing professionals. They will be prepared to make meaningful contributions to patient care, collaborate effectively within healthcare teams, and adapt to the evolving challenges of the global healthcare landscape
