At Hokkaido Bunkyo University's Department of Occupational Therapy, we are dedicated to training professionals who can support individuals in leading fulfilling lives through meaningful activities. - Community-Based Learning: Students engage in hands-on experiences in local neighborhoods, practicing occupational therapy in real-world settings. Our extensive network with local medical, nursing, and employment support facilities allows students to learn while participating in actual community rehabilitation and occupational therapy.

- International Accreditation: As an accredited institution by the **World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT)**, we provide education that meets international standards, creating opportunities for students to study or work abroad in the future.

- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: By strengthening ties with the Faculty of International Studies, we aim to nurture occupational therapists with an international perspective and communication skills. Additionally, learning alongside students from the Departments of Health and Nutrition, Physical Therapy, Nursing, and Child Development fosters a sense of teamwork essential in various fields, including medicine, health, welfare, education, and the workplace.

Educational Approach:

- Life Activity Improvement Management: Our department is certified by the Japanese Occupational Therapy Association as a "Life Activity Improvement Management Promotion Cooperation School." We have a comprehensive educational system for life activity improvement management, a tool that visualizes the thought process of occupational therapists, used both on campus and during clinical training. This approach enables students to learn powerful tools to help people realize the life they desire from the early stages of their education.
